Art lover and innate storyteller, Dericka is a multifaceted creator originally from Miami with over 5 years of experience in content management, content strategy, and content creation. Inspired by her cultural roots and the world around her, she uses words and imagery to connect diverse communities, particularly Black and queer folx, with the things they care about most.
Dericka earned a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida in May of 2019. She currently works as Managing Editor for Hy-Lo News, a local news blog based out of South Florida dedicated to Black & Brown millennials.
